About SKYMUN
The SKYMUN conference is a one-day student-led simulation of the United Nations hosted by three international schools in Seoul: Seoul Foreign School (SFS), Korea International School (KIS), and Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS). SKYMUN is a conference that focuses on providing the unique MUN experience to novice MUN delegates, such as High School freshmen and Middle School students. It is also geared toward giving High School underclassmen a chance to chair in an MUN conference and provides veteran members an opportunity to help and educate the young delegates. SKYMUN is an invitation-based conference; as such, only school teams can register for the conference, and individuals are not allowed to participate without their MUN team and adviser being present for the entire conference.
SKYMUN I will be held at Yongsan International School of Seoul on February 15, 2014. We have established six traditional MUN forums, which will help the young delegates be acquainted with the structure of MUN: General Assemblies I and II, Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Special Conference on Youth Issues (SPC), Human Rights Council (HRC), and Security Council (SC). If you have any questions about the 2014 conference, please contact [email protected].
